The Village makes these documents available in an effort to provide as much information as possible to the public, however, for the most current, up to date information, or for "official" versions of the documents it is recommended that you contact the Village Hall directly.

Village of Roslyn, Storm Water Management Plan and Annual Reports
Outline of the Village of Roslyn's Phase ll Storm Water Program
In compliance with the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Clean Water Act, the Village of Roslyn has submitted a Notice of Intent to the New York State, Department of Environmental Conservation, detailing the Village's intended storm water management practices. An annual report will be issued by the Village each year detailing past and future efforts to comply with this "Notice of Intent". For more information, download:
Outline of the Village of Roslyn's Phase II Storm Water Program
These documents are a summary of the Roslyn Storm Water Management Plan for each year. The entire document is available for viewing at the Roslyn Village Hall during business hours. Each year the draft report is made available to the public. Review and public comment will be accepted each year until May 30th. Once that is done the completed report is then submitted to the State. Please direct all inquiries to the Roslyn Building Department.

The Village maintains a Storm Water Repository with substantial amounts of information on the subject. The Repository is available to the public during regular business hours at the Village Hall.

Storm Water FAQ's
Most types of work on buildings in the Historic District requires a permit and review by the Historic District Board. Prior to commencing the permit review process, it is recommended that these guidelines be reviewed. There is also a permit application for Historic District Board review. Follow the link below

The Village of Roslyn is divided into the zones or districts as shown on the Zoning Map and listed below:
R-1 Low-density single-family residential district
R-2 Medium-density single-family residential district
R-3 One-family and two-family residential district
R-4 Low-density single-family residential district (See R-4 and ARB requirements)
R-MF Multi-family residential district
R-WD Waterfront residential district
R-C Residential commercial district
C-V Village commercial district
C-N Neighborhood commercial district
C-H Highway commercial district
O-I Office industrial district
OSR Open space recreation district

Historic-Scenic Overlay District
Boundary of the Roslyn Historic and Scenic Overlay District requiring special review prior to changes to any exterior features. See the "Historic Restoration" section of this web site for more information.

Boundary of the WD-O Overlay District includes preferred uses based on the Village's Comprehensive Plan and other uses requiring special review based on the proposed property use.
Hillside Protection Overlay District
Protected slope areas requiring special review prior to construction or developement.
